Sumario: This research was aimed to identify the guiding actions of the family and the school regarding the conception and formation of adolescents in body development in situations of body modification in the Integrado de Fontibón School. To achieve this purpose and given the descriptive – explanatory research, it was used content analysis qualitative method for this research, which allowed to analyze the conceptions about of the theme of three populations: comprised by teachers and school administrators, parents, and adolescents of eleventh grade with body modifications. The factors such as lack of affection, the lack of development of values and character were evident to have a significant impact on the way of conceiving the moment without regard to future consequences, primarily seeking the acceptance of a particular group that leads to affect your image and personality, by performing some form of body modification.
