Environmental concerns have consolidated as a new urban study paradigm. This paper intends to comprehend some exhibitions on the environmental field of Colombian urban issue by following three guidelines: ecological modernization, inclusion of environmental related topics in the planning as a possibility of civic participation, and the political meaning of environment as a social practice organized by the State and supranational organizations. Environmental statements from the last decades of the Twentieth century are checked within postmodern thinking, identifying fields of knowledge where contemporary discourse concepts emerge. This paper is framed in considerations on human geography against the correlation between globalization and urbanization in Colombia. |
