Sumario: This text analyzes and compares information yielded by several studies related to Internet’s penetration in Mexico, including the research paper titled Estudio 2009 de hábitos y percepciones de los mexicanos sobre Internet y diversas tecnologías asociadas (“2009 study on the Mexican’s habits and perceptions of the Internet and other related technologies”), done in 2008 as part of the “Internet Project” carried out by the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey itesm, Campus Estado de México. The aforementioned research is framed within the broader Estudio anual sobre el impacto de Internet (“Annual study on the Internet’s impact”) for the chapter on Mexico as part of the “World Internet Project”, a global project where research centers and groups from 30 countries participate.
