Continuing with a previous study that confirms the presence of bullying in a private university (Hoyos, Romero, Valega and Molinares, 2009), this paper presents the results of a second comparative - descriptive research in which the aimed was characterize the phenomenon of bullying in a sample of 218 college students (153 female and 65 male) from different programs of four private universities. We used a questionnaire that was developed for the national study Ombudsman (2000) in Spain, it was adapted to our university context. The results of study show the incidence of bullying manifestations in the university context, circumstances and places where bullying occur, communication strategies and conflict resolution, in accordance with perspective of each actors (victims, perpetrators and witnesses), and the comparisons by gender and age. |
