Sumario: The rapid technological development that exists today occurs because we live in so-called "age of information", therefore, just as there is so much information, also it must be transmitted in real, reliable and safe techniques and coding methods to accelerate the processes of transmission and reception. The development of such information means that there are more and more studies on how to transfer this information quickly, reliably and fidelity, which is why we have developed the IEEE 802.11ac standard which is the successor of 802.11n. But the problem focuses on a comparative study of the standards to verify the successor improvements in relation to the 802.11n standard. To perform a comparative analysis between the standards will be used a computer network simulation package by software OMnet++, which is a programmable network simulator. This will allow data transmission networks are taken in the two standards for comparison thereof. Therefore it is important to perform simulation analysis of networks in different standards as it can draw conclusions about how and when to use each standard and under what conditions, as currently there are great potential devices of transmission and reception. Also to provide better information on performance and working conditions standards can give better vision for users to know what standard to use when requiring wireless network devices.
