This investigation shows the pedagogical practices that are evident during the teaching
learning process in 2nd grade Spanish Language and Literature inside of the Ecuadorian
school system. The necessity of the topic derives from the need of realizing studies related
to Spanish Language, especially since it is considered a core subject in the National
Curriculum and is developed from Kindergarten until High School. This case study was
realized in La Salle Catholic Educative Institution, located in Conocoto, Pichincha,
Ecuador.
The main objective of the investigation was to establish the pedagogical practices for
introducing young children into the Spanish Language, targeting the 2nd grade students in
the mentioned school during the 2014 to 2015 school year. The investigation was realized
through a bibliographic inquiry which allowed for the development of a theoretical
framework; through a field study that employed the ethnographic methodology, allowing
for analysis, observation, description and exploration of the subject and the teacher. The
instruments used were observation records, a field diary, an interview and registration
form for recording the pertinent bibliography.
The results evidenced the practices that the teacher utilized inside and outside the
classroom, for which it was important to know the classroom environment and the
learning processes that were employed for the teaching-learning process of Spanish
Language and Literature. |
