As technology and real time application require broadband and higher transmission rates, it has chosen to migrate to optical fiber networks which are the most efficient means of transmission and it allows us to send information faster and more accurate way. Today, there are only few studies for new wireless modulation techniques to be implemented in optical fiber modulation, for this reason it has been necessary to investigate what kind of techniques might or might not be implemented in this networks.
This is the reason because this research project do a comparison between Fast Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (FOFDM) with multicarrier techniques using Filter Bank Multicarrier (FBMC) in this case FBMC-OQAM, it’s necessary to make clear that this study is for few modes optical fiber networks using only a linear model to reach a comparative analysis, which threw the results of FBMC is a more efficient modulation technique than FOFDM because it takes transmission longer distances with less power, and it supports in a better way the differential group delay mode. |
