Sumario: This article analyzes the perceptions about the factors of excellence that are shared by students from six public schools of Santiago de Chile, also reflecting on the configurations of their study practices to achieve success. The descriptive and fac­torial statistical analyzes of the surveys and the content analyzes of the group interviews allowed us to conclude that students associate success factors with expressive dimensions, such as well-being in the school, and they have a strong ad­herence to the school project, managing effectively their study and leisure time.
