Sumario: This research was conducted during the first cycle of 2015, systematization and characterization of the production units of the Sumapaz, where data were collected through the System of Identification and Characterization of Citizens and Production Units (SICCUP) was developed to They agreed to the services of the District Department of Economic Development (EDS) 221-2014 by agreement with the University of La Salle. Las Animas, Nazareth, auras and Laguna Verde: 27 production units distributed in four villages were linked. In research areas such as production activity they were evaluated, finding that 93% of the population works characterized the cattle activity, understood as the exploitation of animals and 7% are agricultural activities, this is, livestock and agricultural activities; likewise it established that 78% of owners are over 60 years old and 18% are adults between 27 and 59 years; 48% of the target population has completed primary school and 22% complete secondary. According to the results, the population of older adults Sumapaz is therefore urgent to make a generational change, there is interest in training processes in sustainable farms, despite the low level of education with which accounts, the average income of the residents of this town is between $100,000 and $500,000; 74% are owners of the land.
