In this paper analyzed cereals trade between Colombia and its main trading partners (Argentina, Canada and the United States) we are analyzed from 2003-2013 in order to identify the different variables that are affecting national production and as is impacting on the food security in Colombia. By multivariate regression, combining different variables selected, throw the main factors affecting production are: imports of Argentina, Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Producer Price Index (PPI). Finally, current difficulties in the sector and policies affecting cereal production exposed also seek competitive strategies that boost the production of cereals in Colombia were created.
