Sumario: It study describes and compares the reproductive biology of two sympatric morphs Geonoma macrostachys (G. macrostachys macrostachys and G. acaulis macrostachys) located in the Colombian Amazon, also we describes the pollination ecology of Geonoma oligoclona who it’s a palm found in the same area but it presents a different pollination syndrome. Three field trips were conducted during the months of November 2013, April 2014 and February 2015 to the biological station Zafire lasting between 10 to 20 days, there track of all individuals of G. macrostachys was performed and G. oligoclona submit any reproductive phase to determine the morphology through direct action on the inflorescence; the floral phenology through continuous observations 1-20 days; floral biology through direct observations on the reproductive structures and testing hydrogen peroxide; pollination system, abundance, behavior and pollination effectiveness through collections and daily observations. The results indicate that the two morphotypes of G. macrostachys have a structural plan of inflorescences similarly exhibit equal flowering times and fruiting and share 53.3% of floral visitors whereby there pollen flow between the two morphotypes, however G. macrostachys macrostachys has greater intensity of flowering and fruiting, reflecting the reproductive characteristics of G. macrostachys acaulis are determined or dependent on reproductive characteristics of G. macrostachys reproductive characteristics of G. macrostachys. Moreover it was found that G. oligoclona produces branched inflorescences infrafoliar, blooms throughout the year, have diurnal anthesis, is visited by insects of Coleoptera, Hymenoptera and Diptera orders belonging to the latter the main pollinators Drosophilidae and Syrphidae. Finally, we suggest criteria complementary to define the miofilia in neotropical palms. Key words: Pollination syndromes, Geonoma, reproduction, Amazon
