This research aims to identify the contributions of the Banco de Alimentos in relation to food security; taking into account the multidimensional (Food availability, Food access, Food use), for this was a descriptive study with a quantitative methodology using a survey which validated to provide an instrument of monitoring and evaluation for the institution. It was found that the Banco responds to public policy since the availability and accessibility of food, however, that greater empowerment by communities to ensure their rights are necessary.
