Sumario: The role of comics in art education. Teaching methodology of comics, in high school, in seven District schools in Bogotá. It is a study in the framework of the macro project of artistic education. He project of research, part of the need and the interest of investigate the way as is oriented it teaching of the cartoon from the education artistic and what is it methodology imparted in seven schools district of four locations of Bogota: Usme, Fontibon, Bosa and San Cristobal. The study population were 152 teachers of 124 schools district, and to delve into the subject, seven teachers of Arts and an expert for diagnosis. In the design methodological is chose the approach qualitative and the study descriptive - explicative through the design and application of the survey for the diagnosis and the interview semi-structured to deepen in the field of the cartoon. The data analysis was performed, for the first technique, using the method of simple descriptive statistics, and the second technique, the method of content analysis under the proposed distilling the information. He framework theoretical is based in relation to the art, from the posture of Gombrich, with regard to education artistic in them postulates of Gardner and in the cartoon, Eco, penalty, and Gubern. The role of comics in the teaching of arts education has been secondary, not has been awarded the relevance of this at the level of art, becoming a complement to other areas of knowledge, ignoring the potential that has this art in the development of perception, sensitivity, imagination, curiosity, and artistic creativity of students.
