Sumario: The objective was to study the variation in erythrocyte count, hematocrit (HTO), hemoglobin (Hb), white blood cell count in 12 Arab race horses racing enduro practice. Blood samples were taken pre and post exercise in Bojacá, Cundinamarca. The methodology involved taking blood samples directly from the jugular vein of horses undergoing enduro race in 3 specific times: before starting the race (T0), immediately upon ending the race (T1) and post-exercise time (T2). The results were released and analyzed through Excel and SPSS® programs, making an analysis of descriptive statistics. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was performed to differentiate between different times. For variables with statistically significant difference, the Tukey HSD (Honest Significance Difference) test, a significance level of p <0.05 was used; which determined statistically significant differences between the T1 relative to T0 and T2 for the variables of erythrocytes, hemoglobin and hematocrit. For variables line statistically significant variables were found particularly in neutrophils between the time T1 and T2 and lymphocytes found no relationship between the times, which led to the conclusion that the horses had a good athletic performance, but finished the race exhausted as assessed on the white line and fibrinogen.
