Sumario: This article aims to demonstrate how writing is the cornerstone for building a self-conscious, purposeful and reflective education, which can intervene in processes that define the subjectivity of an individual in relation to society. For this purpose, writing is conceived from three perspectives: as ontology, which responds to the need to generate our own existence through language; as caring for oneself and for others, to the extent that an individual’s training affects the creation of specific scenarios of coexistence; and as a historical-collective project, since through investigating the history of our country it is possible to redefine the present and to build a new future.
