Sumario: The region of Murcia, located in the southeast of the Iberian Peninsula, boasts a large number of light factories, manyof them built between the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century. Although most surviving exampleslocated in the course of the river Segura, regardless of location in the city or in the wild, are industrial buildings withcommon elements that follow traditional models of the architecture of the end of the nineteenth century, in somecases they incorporate unique elements worth mentioning, without forgetting the interest they have because of thefact that some of them retain their original machinery still in use today. With this article we aim to not only make architecturaland heritage analysis, but affect the current status of these areas of industrial heritage, some of whichare at risk and therefore we make concrete proposals for their enhancement.
