Sumario: This article discusses the culture in organizations from the construction of social and immaterial goods. Based on the ideas of Lionel Vallée (1995), the purpose is to show that the configuration of immaterial and social goods in some organizations is an important aspect of their culture construction. Also, we show that the mechanisms of culture management and social interaction contribute with immaterial and social goods. From an ethnographic analysis in 16 organizations in Bogota it is indicated that these goods are affected by deliberate actions (associated with cultural management) or emerging (arising in social interaction). Finally, we propose as a future research to study the impact that may have inherent characteristics of organizations (eg industry, mission, hiring) in the generation and strengthening social and immaterial goods.
