The correct recreation of musical works, which do not belong to traditional standards of composition and interpretation, as in the case of Music Theater and Conceptual Music, involves a deep understanding of the work’s inherent characteristics. Taking as an example the esthetic, stylistic and structural analyses of Juan Hidalgo’s Los holas, I Intend in this article, to examine the characteristics of the above mentioned repertoire, which will allow me to come to conclusions related to the cataloguing, criticism and interpretation of this work. |
