Sumario: This paper recognizes the benefits of participatory design techniques for social and sustainablehabitat production and bioclimatic Solutions, balancing the interests of theirbeneficiaries. Methodologically it’s applied community workshops. That tool traditionallyoriented to the housing design, is now applied in the participatory design of urbanspaces and their associated Networks, in a housing project in the province of Mendoza(Argentina). The development of participatory design workshops highlights the importanceof transferring to the beneficiary community plans social housing, the concepts ofbioclimatic architecture and its implications on the people life quality, energy conservationand environmental sustainability. The results indicate that it is possible to reconcilethe urban spaces design with energetic and environmental efficiency, and without additionalcosts and at the same time meet the expectations of users.
