The events of 1968 are known today as the first world cultural revolution. Latin America was not far from the changes of an era known for socio cultural movements and for university protests. A balance on continental historiography on this event is still unknown. This paper attempts to point out limitations on Colombian researches, affected by their fragmentary and disperse nature. On the continental level, cases in Mexico, Argentina and Brazil, are explored with the purpose of approaching to strands, focuses and gazes beyond national borders that refresh and contextualize our papers. In this way, it is ensured to help building a historiographic map that locates new generations of researchers interested in the student's movement, for a research and reflection field to be consolidated in the national level. |
