Sumario: The processes through which mass media were monopolized in Rosario started in 1997 with the arrival of Grupo Uno. From then onwards, the city, with a population of a million and a half, counts with ten companies centralized by the aforementioned Mendoza province’s holding. This fact, closely related to political and economic power, creates a constant tensions vis-à-vis freedom of speech, plurality of voices, and the people’s right to be informed.
