Introduction: This study investigated on the pedagogical, ethical, and relational derivations of the transit of close relationships to ICT based interventions in a medicine faculty that counts on almost 70 years of trajectory.Method: The research was developed using qualitative methodologies in order to approach the possibilities and difficulties of the potentiality of virtual elements to incorporate them in teaching, the assistance and academic management. It conjugated depth individual interviews (to 15 directors, educational and administrative staff); focused groups (to 250 undergraduate, graduate students, and administrative staff), and documentary revision. The analysis contemplated triangulation of sources and investigators. Results: The results were organized according to the dimensions and categories of virtual developments, thus: 1) Approaches (definitions and representations), kindness, and disadvantages. 2) Role in the education and the medical education. 3) Effects among relationships in the medical scope. And 4) Proposals for the development and the critical appropriation. Conclusions: Virtual elements impact in different senses the way a faculty works the also, their appropriation is variable for the students, teachers, and administrative staff. Nevertheless, in all the cases it is desirable that it is sustained in a pedagogical reflection that allows extending its instrumental use. |
