Sumario: Subacute combined degeneration is an uncommon condition. The diagnosis is established by correlating the clinical history, laboratory tests and findings on MRI. We report the case of a female patient with neurological symptoms characteristic of myelopathy with C5 sensory level. The cervical MRI shows demyelinated lesions in the posterior spinal cord. Clinically, anemia, chronic gastritis and Helicobacter pylori infection, as well as cyanocobalamin paraclinical deficit were also demonstrated.
