Sumario: The introduction of private enforcement in the different Competition Law legal systems, has been after a long and consolidated development of public enforcement, which see damages actions as a complement, rather than considering it as its detractor. In this sense, this article pretends to analyze the public enforcement in the Andean Community and their members, in order to identify their main characteristics, and to evaluate the advantages to keeping the application of this model.
