Sumario: This article is a description of the legal structure of arbitration systemsin Latin American countries and seeks to identify which countries havechosen monistic or dualistic regulations for the regulation of domesticand international arbitration. Additionally, it describes the institutions ofdomestic arbitration legislation that are far different from internationalpractice and emphasizes on Colombian legislation.
