Sumario: Critical perspectives in work psychology are less developed than those undertaken in other social sciences, namely sociology. Such critical analysis of the working environment evolutions are both important and relevant. Yet, they can lead to underestimating the forces and resistance movements which aim at countering these evolutions. Therefore, we choose here a dialectical approach and propose to explore the polymorphic aspect of the resistance, insisting on two of its basis: the resistance of the subject (the person) and the resistance of the real. Lastly, in order to underline the conflictual dynamics which remain within the most constraining social settings, we shall present a research exploring the customs and functions of work in prison.
