Sumario: During the last decades, the educational institutions of the Franciscan Community have prompted to stay and grow in the educational field. However, in this developing process they have vanished the relational components proposed by the Franciscan document Id y Enseñad (OFM, 2009). The new ways of the relations generated in these institutions are the target of study of this research. Method. This research is based on my experience as a priest and administrator of the educational institutions of the Franciscan Community. The purpose of this study is to provide an outlook of the documents promulgated by the National Educational Minister between 1994 and 2015, the document Id y enseñad (OFM, 2009), and the article Cómo se ejerce el poder (Foucault, 1984). These documents contribute with a truthful perspective of what the legislation and administration must look like on the Franciscan educational institutions. Findings. Based on Foucault’s theory, the relationships of power regulate the administrative practices established to achieve the institutional, state, and Franciscan Community goals. These practices are evident in the documents, such as the school plan of improvement project, the internal work policies, the staff profiles, etc.
