Sumario: Autism brings doubts and concerns for parents who find themselves in a journey through different health professionals, looking for an answer in the first place for their child's behavior, and secondly for a cure for that diagnosis. On this tour, are generated transformations in relationships parent - child, mother – son; so the purpose of this research study is to investigate what transformations occur in the relations father-son and mother-child after a diagnosis of autism. To this end, participated in this research study two sets of parents whose son had been diagnosed were at least one year ago and that their relationship was maintained. The collection of the information was obtained through semi - structured interviews. In which it was found that the relationships of mothers with their children the affection and care of their children were transformed, in addition to the expectations they had for their children. While parents in the treatment of their children changed, and expectations towards them again. In conclusion it was observed that important part of the transformation was mediated by a sense of guilt.
