This study aimed to identify how young people and health professionals assign meaning to the process of somatization about the relationships among university students. A descriptive, qualitative research design was developed through three (3) focus groups, surveys thirty-two (32) university students and in turn interviews to three (3) health professionals (alternative medical - traditional doctor - clinical psychologist with emphasis). The results allow to analyze in depth about somatization in relationships, but also know not only its concept and existence in society, if not the perceptions of young people in this, somatization is considered the existence of bodily damages , it is seen as the expression of those thoughts and feelings that are not said by the word and do not appear in the speech of the people and how health professionals involved in their management, providing a perspective from his professional experience, and meaning of somatization in each of these fields. In conclusion establishes an important need to integrate an interdisciplinary work, saying that is not performing, but this continued support in this work against somatization processes and providing improved benefits to people who come to consultation with intention a solution. |
