Sumario: Living with animals is something that has been strengthened in this century, since pets are no longer just animals and today become a member of the family. Every day society is being influenced by the trend to humanize pets, creating a closer relationship between man and animal. Products and services for pets (fish, dogs, cats, birds and hamsters), are currently in steady growth, because people in Colombia seek a company on them, provide them with fun and safety in their homes. Therefore the owners always are intended to provide a good quality of life for their pets. With this global context, market opportunities with which the needs for pet care are supplemented by favoring the creation of specialized facilities in its maintenance and care are generated. This project seeks to defining the strategic direction of the business establishment MORE THAN PETS, making a proposal for strategic planning, which is of great importance in organizations seeking to obtain and maintain a competitive advantage.
