Sumario: This project was developed based on a proposal that allows reducing the amount of defective product that was evidenced during the period between November 2015 and March 2016 in the company GIORGIO SPORT SA, in which it was possible to identify the causes that generated on average a 10% of defective production, therefore the company incurred costs of approximately $ 41,323,527. The DMAIC methodology was used to carry out this project, which consists of five phases (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control) that allowed the identification of internal and external clients' needs to subsequently measure the performance of the indicator "% Defective units" to find the causes that generate representative defects along the production line, allowing action plans to be implemented, performance evaluation and continuous improvement.
