The present research is carried out by means of an intervention on kids aging from 3 to 5 years old in the kids center Foundation Las Golondrinas at Caicedo, Medellin, with the purpose of finding the existent relationship on the way that the upbringing practices have been being applied, how they can generate cognitive-emotional needs on the kids and how the different upbringing styles influence on the integral development of the kid in every single context.
In order to guide this research, it was decided to use different strategies that allow to link up the participation of the children, the families and the educators through reflexive workshops which based on several activities enable the direct and indirect observation, field diaries, interviews, and life stories, in that way, it is possible to analyze the gathered information in order to draw conclusions and findings of the research group regarding the made process.
It was possible then, to determine that there is indeed a direct relationship between the implemented upbringing practices and the creation of cognitive-emotional needs such as: insecurity, anger, inattention, rebellion, and inability to socialize with their peers, which are all generated by the family due to the fact that they apply upbringing styles according to the circumstances, most of them based on threats, abuse and deauthorization among parents. |
