The following document presents the design and implementation of an analog audio equalizer using FPAA, starting with a theoretical framework where an introduction is made to equalizers, revealing the equalizer types with their main characteristics. Subsequently evolution and terminology of the FPAA is shown, followed by the design and implementation of a four band analog parametric audio equalizer using FPAA with its respective GUI (Graphical User Interface) which allows the configuration and parameter storage such as gain, center frequency and quality factor of each of the bands as plain text in a computer. Then, various technical tests such as comparing the theoretical and practical response frequency of each band with different configuration parameters were presented. This was done with the purpose of tracking the parametric equalizer and then documenting the results of these tests, highlighting the response time and the proper functioning of each frequency band. Finally, relevant aspects of improvements and future work for the project are discussed and the literature used in the final document is presented. |
