This research project seeks to inform and analyze the adverse environmental effects and impacts of non-implementation of the ISO 14001 standard in the development of artisanal mining on water resources in the region due to mercury pollution and its effects on food chain in fish, human health, land degradation, indiscriminate felling of trees and destruction of fertile soil, destruction of flora and fauna. It seeks to highlight the social consequences of this region because for centuries its economy has been linked to the exploitation of gold by its inhabitants but turn in recent decades has had interference from illegal armed forces that hinder its development and this same it becomes a big problem for social welfare in which the Colombian state has been unable to control despite their struggles and efforts. |
