Sumario: This research analyzes female migration in Mexico and Central America headed towards the US: the main characteristics of the phenomenon, the routes taken by these women in their migration process, and derived from the vulnerability these women are in -generally- migrants transitting through Mexico, the possible dangers they face during their trip. For this, we present the results of an exploratory research developed in the border of Mexico and the US, where many of them pass by. Using a semiestructured questionnaire, we obtained valuable information about the migration experience of undocumented migrant women, allowing us to characterize and know about the traveling strategies and dangers they face.
