Sumario: This article describes and explains how violence in one region of Colombia -Florida, Valle del Cauca- executed by several armed groups, has generated a conflict in its population and resulted in a forced displacement which has gotten indigenous, African-Colombian and mixed-race women involved in it. These women have been forced to seek refuge in urban areas, where they are strengthening their organizational and family networks in order to regain their lost rights.
