Sumario: The International Congresses of Modern Architecture (Ciam) from 1928-1956, meant the staging of thought of different architects and urban planners to solve the problems of the city and the human being as inhabitant entity of architectural urban space. This paper establishes the relationship between thought theses formulated and attested in the Ciam and the architectural graphic representation, in which we can find and make the thought about architecture and urbanism that were drawn by Ciam, in order to resolve the issues raised by the new city. The figure of the architect Le Corbusier deserves special attention from its status as a cartoonist and art character, because it offers us a clear testimony that the architectural design is not an end in itself but a means of description, exploration and study of the architectural and urban problems.
