The Colombian Sugar Sector considers the investment in social, environmental and economic actions, which contribute to the quality of life of its workers and families, as a primary matter and of great interest to them, since they offer a way to increase their productivity as a sector, while strengthening the regional and national economy. Therefore, it is necessary to launch the project "Design and update of sustainability indicators in the monitoring and evaluation system M&E for the preparation of reports in the Colombian Sugar Sector", which will allow you to improve the way of measure the impacts of their investments in their area of influence, thus obtaining more accurate information in accordance with the requirements of the sector and its stakeholders, organized in a systematic structure typical of the M&E System
In this work, the indicators that are generated through the feeding of the M&E System by each of the sugar mills are reviewed, they are identified they must continue and must be updated, as well as the incorporation of new indicators that complement information. required to measure the impact of their investments through the construction of sectoral reports.This concludes that the M & E system is considered as a managerial tool, which allows linking it with investment decision-making in the relationship with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the aspect considered as a variable that affects the competitiveness of organizations. |
