The University of San Buenaventura Cali within its academic programs has the Electronic Engineering program, which in its curriculum includes the Chair of Digital Communications.This course aims to introduce students of electronic engineering in the world of digital communication systems, and especially in data transmission systems.This chair does not have practical laboratory guides with which students can really check the performance of the links; that is why the need arises to design and implement the laboratory practices for the subject of digital communications, with the help of the radio software equipment acquired in the framework of a research already completed, in order to strengthen the knowledge acquired by the students inside the classroom.Five laboratory practices were designed that cover different topics of the course's analytical program. These practices were implemented and designed to be supported by the radio software equipment with which the University currently has.The implementation of the practices with the teacher in charge of teaching the course and with the collaboration of different students to those who were presented, indicated a great acceptability, since without pretending in this project the development of a pedagogical strategy,the students were able to verify part of what has been learned in the subject, ratifying in this way the importance of carrying out these practices within the course. |
