Sumario: This document addresses the types of hiring established in the substantive Labor Code a) Defined term b) undefined terms compared to contracting governed by commercial and civil laws. Contract to provide services, the policies and regulations in Colombia are evaluated and the current situation of the country in relation to the work environment. Applying section 28 of benefits to employees, from a qualitative perspective it is proposed to evaluate the different benefits that the employer must assume and how these directly affect the quality of life of the people when they are assumed by the employee and from a qualitative orientation the proposals by the International Labor Organization on "Decent work" Concentrate on the analysis of fundamental variables such as access to social security (health and pension), the certainty in employment (formality in employment), and feel comfortable with their work. The results point to the importance of implementing policies that allow changing statistics such as the unemployment rate and informality that establish important social inequality in the country.
