Sumario: Taking into account the call of the National Ministry of Education about English teaching and learning as foreign language, this article shows the results of a research about the form as some indigenous students of the Embera Eyabida community in the Frontino municipality, located in the occident sub region of Antioquia stated, live with their already acquire language ability and the modern langue in the English classroom. In this study participated seventeen (17) indigenous students and three (3) teachers. In addition, by to be a work that looks for generating actions that empower to the participants with respect to the foreign language learning, the students and the teachers participated as involved actors in the research process. The study follows the parameters of the qualitative research and the participative action research, taking into account as recollecting information technics the administration of open questionnaires, standardized test results and the participant observation done by the involved actors in the research process. As main finding is found that, according to the information provided by the students and the standardized test results analyze choose to this study, it can say that the use of the Already Acquire Language Ability as learning strategy generates Participation and Self-Confident in the English class to the indigenous students. Also, promotes the cultural and communicative interaction, favors the academic development in the subject and promotes native language preservation
