Sumario: The following descriptive-cross-sectional study aimed to describe the experience of anxiety from a humanist-existential perspective in people attending a Christian church in the city of Cartagena. A non-probabilistic sample was taken for the convenience of 100 people to whom the ANSIV inventory was applied (De Castro, De La Ossa, Noreña 2014), which allowed to measure the symptoms of existential anxiety and the way these people deal with the generating situations Of anxiety (constructively or destructively). It was obtained that, on average, 63% of the evaluated persons attending a Christian church in the city of Cartagena present varied symptomatology in high tendency and high symptomatology when faced with existential situations related to freedom, existential isolation, death, Lack of a vital meaning. In conclusion, it was found that more than half of the people experience intense symptomatology of anxiety before the four existential situations, however the group of symptoms that they experience with more intensity in the four situations is the one related to the interpersonal spheres, that is to say, They have difficulty in assertively relating to other people; And more than half of people avoid situations of existential isolation and confrontation with death, the opposite occurs in situations related to the lack of a vital meaning and to decision making, since more than half of the People make important decisions for their lives without major difficulty.
