Sumario: The desertion of adolescent offenders of the law that are not deprived of the freedom of the therapeutic communities administered by the Congregation of Capuchin Tertiary Religious, has become a problem that interrupts the process of rehabilitation and puts at risk the integrity of adolescents in society. This paper presents a model to identify adolescents belonging to these communities candidates to be possible deserters. Was employed the technique of data mining of search of relations between variables, which allows to identify patterns in large volumes of information, which facilitates the formulation of strategies and decisionmaking in any area of knowledge. It was used a database that met the basic information of 300 adolescents: age, gender, consumption of psychoactive substances, type of housing, area of origin, number of semi-annual and annual income to the rehabilitation programs. This paper concludes that the consumption of psychoactive substances is the factor that most motivates the desertion. The Government, the family and society in general should develop and implement strategies to avoid the proliferation of new consumers and rehabilitate existing ones.
