A great social impact at the neighborhood, zonal and metropolitan scale has been generated on the importance of public spaces
nowadays; interventions have also been increased in these existing spaces or on occasion the creation of new spaces, in order to improve
the quality of life of its inhabitants and offer pleasant places for family and outdoor multi-cultural enjoyment.
Because of its climate and the little progress of bioclimatic in public spaces in the tropical zone, performing analyzes and studies presents
difficulties in rural areas due to the lack of reliable and true data, but in this region, venturing into bioclimatic favors spatial comfort and the
thermal sensation of people in open spaces.
It is important to carry out an analysis of the climate, and therefore to use tools with comfort models for outdoor environments, compatible
with the geography and meteorology of the tropical region to be able to evaluate possible strategies that improve the spatial conditions
and the thermal sensations of people from the design phase.
However, a reliable climate database is fundamental considering the geographical location of the project to guarantee results in the simulations
that help to understand the effects of climate.
This area of knowledge is still growing in Colombia, therefore expanding its scope and benefits will allow the development of cities from
comfortable open spaces, bringing sustainable solutions in urban projects that greatly contribute to the growth of territories from the social,
cultural and economic side.
This work presented difficulties when obtaining climatic information from climatological stations located in rural areas. It was necessary
to use the manual measurement and the use of the Olgyay and Rayman 1.2 letters as the strategies to carry out the climate analysis.
This means to evaluate by computational simulations in ENVImet, CFD Autodesk and Ecotect, the incidence of the climatic factors analyzed
in the thermal sensation of people to give us the premises to take into account in the design of public space in a cold climate like Santa Elena.
The results show that the factors of solar radiation and wind speed in cold climates are the ones that most affect the thermal sensations of
people and spatial comfort, and can generate satisfaction or displeasure in those who inhabit the space. It also shows that it is important to
choose a suitable surface for the conductivity and emission of solar radiation for a cold climate, consequently, must be selected the choice
of natural species that make up our project, since generating much shadow can considerable generate or diminish the thermal sensation of
the people who are in space. |
