Sumario: The study evaluated a relationship between situational demographic factors, psychosocial factors and behavior; in cases of intentional death for external cause associated to drug abuse in Bogotá. Four groups of variables that were related to each one of the study factors (demographic factor, situational factor, psychological-social-behavior factor, and the fac¬tor of drug presence) were selected to work with. It used a nonanalytic descriptive design, cases series. The sample of 200 murder cases that had related drug abuse was selected at random, from the Medicine Legal Colombian Institute of Pathology Science. The results were analyzed by descriptive statistics and variables associated through Crosstab (Contin¬gency tables) and it found that victim’s average age is 27 years old, mainly male from the lowest socioecomic position. Also, the most frequent situation was the street, the use of a firearm and the hipovolentic shock as a diagnostic of death.
