This thesis explains the feasibility study for the construction of a Marketplace formed by the Association "ASOMERCHE" located in Checa, Quito Metropolitan District. In this study, the needs of the population were investigated; based on those results six chapters that support the project were established.
Having no market in which goods and services can be sold for the economic and social benefit of both the Association "ASOMERCHE" and the people of Checa, objectives were determined in the first chapter. These objectives will justify this project.
Market research indicates the actual data regarding people’s preferences and needs, resulting in target market and project’s size. Having this information, technical factors are established which will be used as a source for the financial study.
Financial study details investments, costs and working capital for the marketplace’s operation. It is important to emphasize that this is a social project; therefore no assessment was made for the profitability of it. We focus purely on social purposes
Social assessment helps to improve the quality of life of Checa’s population; also it is complemented with the economic sphere creating a link with the project beneficiaries
