Sumario: This research was conducted in the neighborhood of El Conde 1, located in the parish of Turubamba, south of Quito, during the period 2012 – 2013. Here we analyzed how migrating settlers from El Conde 1 neighborhood recreate their identities and strengthen their spiritual and affective ties, through rituals and rites that are performed on the feast of the Guayco's Virgin, originally held in the province of Bolivar. For this, it was necessary to analyze the theoretical framework. Then the location and historical contexts of the populations involved in the feast were detailed. Later, it’s described how in the beginning, organization, relations of reciprocity, redistribution and during the celebration, the local people recreate their identities and maintain ties with their place of origin. Finally, the spiritual and emotional ties that exist between the families of migrants of El Conde 1, in Quito, that go on a pilgrimage to the Guayco's Virgin sanctuary, in the province of Bolivar are explained.
