The construction sector in the city of Quito is an important segment in the urban, economic and social progress of the city. That is why it must study and analyze its development from all areas and one of them is the social responsibility that should be implemented as a standard in all economic sectors
In this occasion we will focus on analyzing the social thinking that currently exists in the construction sector through a study applied to a group of construction SMEs in the city of Quito.
CSR can be explained from two sides, the competitiveness of companies and the participation of them in the social field in the community.
Translated to the construction sector of the city of Quito this issue is handled with secrecy so it fails to fit into a true sustainable development of the city, with structural designs friendly to the environment, with an adequate use of non-renewable resources and with high levels of pollution, which prevents SMEs in the construction sector of the city of Quito from taking advantage of this important aspect to use it as a tool to gain market positioning and increase their competitiveness.
In this virtue we see viable the search for clear methods and guidelines that help to implement all the principles of CSR within the construction sector of the city of Quito. |
