Sumario: This thesis was carried out with the aim to understand the scope of the Law for Regulation and Control of Market Power (Antitrust Law), to analyze the possible effects and impact on the ten most representative economic groups in Ecuador, according to the list provided by the Internal Revenue Service published on July 26, 2012. By the deductive method, we applied techniques of collecting and analyzing information that have been published on the website, workshops, videos, magazines and books. Ecuador's history through the year has shown that the concentration and economic centralization led to a fraction of monopolistic bourgeoisie rule over this capital. As a result of this situation, the present government approved the Organic Law for the Regulation and Control Market Power being an important step towards social welfare and improvement of competition as a means of achieving economic rationality and efficiency
