Sumario: This article is intended to get deep in the Christian Kerygma and emphasize the profound relationship of catechesis, as a ministry of the word at the service of Christian initiation. This work aims to support the Kerygma as the foundation and thread the catechetical process from the evangelical model. It also attempts to provide an analysis of catechesis from the kerygmatic boost from several Church documents, especially the V Conference of Latin American and Caribbean Bishops 'Aparecida' to highlight issues and theological - pastoral view, that might guide the catechists in the sacramental preparation of children, youth and their families. The main objective is to provoke a thoughtful reading to assist in the search for new ways of evangelization that respond to the current problems that challenge catechetical work in parishes and communities, considering that this is such an important task in the ministry of the Church .
